New York 3

The New York Three are Jalil Abdul Muntaqim (Anthony Bottom), Albert Nuh Washington and Herman Bell. Victims of COINTELPRO activities to neutralize members of the Black Liberation Movement, all three were convicted of murdering two NYC police officers in 1971, though they maintained their innocence. Albert Nuh Washington passed away while in prison in 2000. Herman Bell was released on parole in 2018. Jalil Muntaqim was released on parole in 2020.
