Institute for Palestine Studies
The Institute for Palestine Studies (IPS) was established in Beirut in 1963 as an independent non-profit research institution, unaffiliated with any political organization or government. Since its foundation, IPS has published over 800 books, monographs, occasional papers, and documentary collections in English, Arabic, and French. The Institute commissions original studies and publishes works not only on Palestinian history and the origins and evolution of the question of Palestine, but also on Palestinian collective memory, identity, and heritage; the Zionist movement and Israel; and international diplomacy, with particular reference to the United Nations and the role of the United States
